Real results
Every kind of blur, its own fix
Real test photos, untouched on the left. We check what went wrong with the shot and pick the fix for it.
What it’s for
Made for the photos you actually have
Shaky phone photos
A hand that moved, a subject that moved, a night shot with a slow shutter. Motion blur is the most common kind, and the one UnblurPix fixes best.
Missed focus
The camera focused on the background instead of the face. We bring back edges and fine detail on the part that matters.
Old and low-resolution pictures
Photos from old phones, scans of prints and images saved over and over. Old photo mode also cleans dust and scratches without adding color.
Receipts, notes and screenshots
Text mode keeps every letter as written instead of guessing. Always check the numbers against the original before you rely on them.
How to unblur an image
Three steps, about half a minute
Upload
Drop, paste or pick a photo from your phone. JPG, PNG, WEBP and HEIC from an iPhone all work, up to 20 MB.
We check the blur
Your browser looks for motion blur, missed focus, faces and text, and picks the right mode. You can change it before you start.
Compare, fine-tune, download
Slide to compare, choose how close to the original it stays, or brush any spot back. Standard is free every day.
Why UnblurPix
Sharp, honest and private
Checked against your original
Every result is compared with your photo for drift in faces, colors and layout. If it drifted, we redo it once for free.
The price is on the button
Standard is free, 2 a day without an account. Pro costs 3 credits and 4K costs 6, and the button says so before you click.
Two versions in Pro
Pro runs two AI models and shows both, so you pick the one that looks most like the real thing.
No watermark, full resolution
Free results come out in full 2K with no watermark and no sign-up.
Pricing
Free every day. Pay only for more
Standard unblurs are free. Credits are for Pro, 4K and going past the daily limit.

What makes a photo blurry
Most blur comes from one of three things. Motion blur happens when the camera or the subject moves while the shutter is open: edges smear in one direction and lights turn into streaks. Missed focus happens when the lens focuses at the wrong distance: everything goes soft evenly, like looking through frosted glass. Low resolution comes from small or heavily compressed images: blocks and halos appear as soon as you zoom in.
Each kind needs a different fix. The sharpen filter in a photo app only raises the contrast along edges, which makes motion blur look jagged instead of sharp. UnblurPix uses AI models that redraw the detail the blur hid, guided by everything that is still visible in your photo.
How UnblurPix unblurs an image
When you pick a photo, your browser measures how sharp it is, looks for faces and text, and works out the direction of any motion blur. Nothing leaves your device for this step. Based on what it finds, UnblurPix picks a mode: Motion, Focus, Portrait, Text or Old photo. Each mode gives the AI different instructions, so a receipt is handled differently from a portrait.
Then the photo goes to the AI model. When the result comes back, we compare it with your original: the layout has to match, the colors have to stay close, and faces must not move or change shape. If a check fails, UnblurPix redoes the photo once with another model, for free. You see the result next to your original in a comparison slider, and you can zoom in to check the details.
Standard, Pro and 4K
Standard gives you a full 2K result from one AI model. It is free 2 times a day without an account and 4 times with a free account, and costs 1 credit after that.
Pro costs 3 credits and runs two different AI models on the same photo. You get two versions and keep the one that looks most like the real moment. Pro is worth it for faces and for photos you plan to print.
4K costs 6 credits and gives you a 4K result for posters and large prints.
Tips for the best result
- Upload the original file, not a screenshot of it. Screenshots throw away detail the AI could use.
- Crop out what you don’t need. A smaller area gets more of the AI’s attention.
- Check faces closely in the comparison view. If something looks off, paint that spot back from your original with the Restore brush.
- If the result looks too smooth, move the Fidelity slider toward Closer to original.
- For text, always read the numbers against your original. The AI can make a blurry digit sharp, but it can’t know for sure which digit it was.
What unblurring can’t do
AI unblurring works with what is in the photo. If a face is only a smudge a few pixels wide, there isn’t enough left to recover the real person, and any model would have to make up the details. UnblurPix tells you when a photo is too small or already sharp, so you don’t spend credits on it. It also can’t read text that was unreadable to begin with, or bring back parts of the picture that are cut off.
Your photos and your privacy
Your photo is uploaded to our storage on Cloudflare and sent to the AI provider only to make your result. Free photos and results are deleted after 24 hours; if you used credits, we keep them for 7 days so you can come back to them. Download links are private and stop working after 60 minutes. We don’t use your photos to train AI, and we pick AI providers that don’t allow training on them either.
FAQ
Questions people ask
Is UnblurPix really free?
Yes. You get 2 standard unblurs a day without an account and 4 with a free account, in full 2K with no watermark. Pro and 4K use credits, and the cost is on the button before you click.
Can it fix any blurry photo?
It fixes most motion blur, missed focus and low-resolution blur. A photo that is mostly blur, like a face only a few pixels wide, has too little left to recover, and the AI would have to invent details. We tell you when a photo already looks sharp.
How do I unblur a picture on iPhone?
Open unblurpix.com in Safari, tap Upload photo and pick the picture. HEIC photos work as they are. When it’s done, tap Download and save the result to Photos.
Will the result look fake?
Our instructions tell the AI to keep the same people, colors and framing, and every result is checked against your photo. Use the Fidelity slider to stay closer to the original, or the Restore brush to bring back any part as it was.
What happens to my photos?
Free photos and results are deleted after 24 hours, or 7 days if you used credits. We don’t use your photos to train AI, and we pick AI providers that don’t allow training on them either.
How long does it take?
About half a minute for most photos. Pro can take a little longer because two AI models work on your photo at once.
Can I use the results commercially?
Results you paid for with credits can be used commercially. Free results are for personal use. Either way, you need the right to use the photo you upload.
What if I don’t like the result?
If a result drifted from your original, UnblurPix redoes it once for free. You can also switch the mode, try Pro, or brush parts of the original back in.
Got a blurry photo right now?
Try it on one picture. It’s free, and it takes about half a minute.
